After three earthquakes in the morning w Cambridge
After three earthquakes in the morning with a magnitude of about seven, in New Zealand, authorities ordered the urgent evacuation of thousands of citizens from coastal areas. The reason was the message about the approaching tsunami
At about 8:30 am, the first earthquake with a magnitude of 8.1 occurred. This happened near the Kermadec Islands.
After that, meteorologists canceled the message about a possible tsunami. The situation after the second earthquake has not changed. But after the third earthquake, sirens began to sound in some areas, signaling the approach of a tsunami.

Dolphins washed ashore in New Zealand and died
Conservation officials who arrived at the scene found ninety-seven grindas (black dolphins) and three bottlenose dolphins that were already dead.
Another 26 mammals were alive, but very weak, so they had to be euthanized.
Diver and marine photographer Sam Wilde said that the Chatham Archipelago is a remote place, so there are not many people around. And when the dolphins were discovered, the radio call was transmitted to only a few people.
He also added that divers should stay out of the water when dolphins land on shore because the area is home to a population of great white sharks that can attack people in search of carcasses.
